Volunteer Opportunities 

The Greater Pine Island VFW Post 4353 located at 8150 Stringfellow Road, St.James City is proud to announce a new program to assist veterans of all ages. 

Program Purpose:

The Veteran Outreach Program (VOP) is designed to serve veterans of all ages through personal contact for camaraderie, introduction to VFW and its programs, to share personal military experiences, to reach elder vets who may have been forgotten and to grow VFW membership in keeping with the VFW motto, “No One Does More for Veterans”.

Any veteran can access this program by calling Guylyn DeMeyere at 239.565.4319. A VFW or Auxiliary Ambassador will be assigned to contact the veteran. The veteran will be invited to have lunch at the VFW and transportation will be available if desired. While at the VFW, the members will be there to share stories, tell tall tales, enjoy food and drink and forge new friendships with fellow veterans.

Already the VFW has received phone calls once people heard that the program would be operational very soon. Don’t be left out if you are a veteran and please share with other veterans. 

The VFW Post 4353 intends to fulfill the VFW motto, “No One Does More For Veterans”.
