On Wednesday May 25, Scout Troop 20 recognized two new Eagle scouts, Jacob Romeo and Hunter Nodal-Rea.
 
Scoutmaster Johnny Nodal was proud to invite the local clubs to the event.
 
Greater Pine Island VFW Post 4353 Commander Tom Ferguson and Auxiliary, represented by Treasurer Jill Davidson, presented certificates and monetary awards to each scout.
 
Commander Ferguson was also given a mentor pin by Jacob Romeo, who is planning to join the Marine Corps. Hunter Nodal-Rea will be attending college next year.
 
It was a honor to be present and recognize these fine young men for their accomplishment of attaining Eagle Scout.

Greater Pine Island VFW Post 4353 sponsored a golf team for the recent Pine Island Chamber Of Commence Golf Scramble on April 16 2022.
 
The golf team finished 3rd!

 

VFW Post 4353 continues to be part of the community and represents well the VFW motto,
 
“No One Does More for Veterans”
Post and Auxiliary members Casey Vanderburg US Navy, Jim Beck USMC, Larry Ferry US Army and Marty Eddy.

The post also donated a door prize and the Auxiliary sponsored two holes.
